We’re all about serving the communities within which we operate, but it was actually a recent local protest that was responsible for our latest Harvest Energy opening! Dealer Seevaratnam Muresh – known as Muresh – opened his sixth forecourt site at Backwell near Bristol, in the south west of England. However, that wasn’t the original intention for the site. The previous owners – who had run the Harvest Energy forecourt for 43 years – were retiring and wanted to sell off the land for houses.
But a protest by the surrounding community – desperate to save this much-needed local amenity – meant Muresh stepped in to save the site and add to his portfolio of existing Harvest Energy service stations. As well as adding to the number of pumps, an extensive refurbishment has also increased the size of the Co-op forecourt shop, along with a Delice de France concession for tasty pastries, and a Costa Coffee for customers to get their caffeine fix!
